Shang-Chi Movie Reportedly Adds Archers to the Mix

Previously, it was rumored that Shang-Chi will look to explore Mandarin’s ties to Genghis Khan, potentially in a flashback sequence. If anything, the inclusion of the aforementioned archers could hint that the flashback scenes will incorporate a war setting. On the flip side, another rumor suggests that the film will feature a massive tournament, with the Ten Rings serving as the grand prize. That said, it’s not hard to envision an archer joining the aforementioned tournament.

In a report, Murphy’s Multiverse uncovered a casting call for “Chinese archers at Fox Studios.” Though it didn’t specify which film it is for, the outlet shared more evidence that it is for Shang-Chi since a Twitter user (@mma_tuesday) outright mentioned that he will be involved in the film due to the casting call.

In addition, a Facebook post from VOOM Management Group seems to confirm that this casting call aligns with the report from Murphy’s Multiverse.

It is currently unknown how Shang-Chi will tie to the larger narrative of the MCU, but recent rumors suggest that it will somehow address the Mandarin twist from Iron Man 3. With production about to resume after a long layoff, it seems that more details about the film will emerge. And now, a new casting call may shed some light on some of the film’s story.
