This is an impressive haul for The Mandalorian, and one that’s well deserved. The VFX team over at ILM should be proud of the technological achievements they pulled off with The Volume, which has been recognized by the Emmy for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in Chapter 2: The Child.Emmy wins for Production Design and Cinematography are also aided by The Volume, allowing for the creative minds at Lucasfilm to develop a rich world for The Mandalorian that fit within the constraints of a TV budget. Visually, the first season was as good as any modern blockbuster film, making it difficult for the series to be beaten by any other shows in the categories.
