This comes in as major news considering everything fans have heard about no new footage being shot for the Snyder Cut. The fact that this new shoot is only a week long most likely points to not enough room for more in the budget, but at the very least, Snyder will have some room to complete more of his vision for what was meant to be his biggest film to date. Bringing back the film’s three biggest stars should give Snyder much more flexibility in that endeavor as well.
In a new release from The Hollywood Reporter, Ray Fisher is a part of the call sheet for what is expected to be a week-long shoot for new scenes to complete the Snyder Cut of Justice League. He is expected to join Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot in October to shoot the new footage before the four-part series releases on HBO Max in 2021.
Besides news of the film’s reshoots, the fact that Ray Fisher is coming back adds yet another wrinkle to his ongoing public battle. While Fisher’s dispute with Warner Bros. and Joss Whedon rages on, it seems that he is far from done with working with the DC Extended Universe as a whole. Details still haven’t been revealed concerning what exactly happened on the set of Justice League after Joss Whedon took over, and it’s still a mystery as to if that story will ever fully come to light.
