Joe Manganiello Shares What He Can About Deathstroke’s Role in Justice Leauge:Snyder Cut!

Fans were absolutely ecstatic hearing the announcement that Deathstroke would make an appearance in 2017’s Justice League, especially when Manganiello was officially attached to the role, but it ended up being a mere post-credits cameo due to the directorial change. There was also no confirmation that he would ever return to the role once the following Batman solo movie was cancelled, so his future with the franchise is still a mystery.

In a new interview with Collider, Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello was asked if there was anything at all he could say about the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League

“If I was a part of it, it wouldn’t be my place to announce that. That would be Zack [Snyder]’s place. Whether or not that’s happening… That is an answer that’s below my NDA level.”

While Manganiello said he couldn’t reveal if he was even in this new cut of the film, he gave this quote when asked if there was anything he’d like to see restored from the original story:

“On my social media, I talked about [how] there was an original end credits sequence that was altered for the release of Justice League. Once Batman was cancelled, they altered that scene. So, here you go, but I wrote about that on my social media. There’s an original scene that will be restored to what it was originally.”

The actor clearly is still passionate about playing the noted Batman villain, but with so much confusion and so many issues behind the scenes of the DCEU, it’s anybody’s guess as to if he will ever be given the opportunity to explore the character fully. Hopefully, at the very least, his scene from Justice League that he discussed will be included in the Snyder Cut, and maybe that will reignite discussions on his potential return to the DCEU in the future.
