Star Trek: Discovery season 3 will run for 13 episodes, releasing every Thursday on CBS All Access in the United States and on Fridays on Netflix for the rest of the world. The video doesn’t give viewers any sense of what to expect, but it does at least confirm Burnham and Saru will both survive this season. Anybody else should be considered fair game, because this mysterious new future will surely be filled with just as many enemies as friends.
CBS has indeed confirmed Star Trek: Discovery will return for season 4 – and that it will begin production in just a fortnight’s time, on November 2. They’ve released an official video featuring stars Sonequa Martin-Green (Michael Burnham) and Doug Jones (Saru), both of whom express their delight about returning to the sets to begin filming season 4.
“I am looking forward to the one thing I always look most forward to when we get to come back for another season of Star Trek: Discovery,” Jones observes. “To be reunited with my family again – the Trek family, the Discovery family. To be able to at least be in the same room again, even if we can’t hug each other right away.“
