It isn’t surprising that MCU fans will be disappointed by this confirmation from Marvel Studios, especially after several teases that WandaVision would supposedly arrive this December. Considering the numerous production delays of several MCU projects, combined with the global pandemic this year, it seems that a January release timeline for WandaVision is the best-case scenario.
Marvel Studios officially confirmed in a tweet that WandaVision will start streaming on Disney+ on January 15, 2021. Alongside the reveal, a short teaser was also unveiled, showcasing several images from the much-anticipated MCU series.

Of course, it’s worth noting that the MCU show was doing reshoots in the past months, and it’s possible that the January release date was considered to iron out some work on the post-production aspect of WandaVision. While it’s been confirmed that one half of WandaVision is a full-blown sitcom (with some parts filmed in front of a live audience), the other half has been teased by stars Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen as an “epic Marvel movie,” which means that more post-production work is on the table.
