A return for fan-favorite Adult Swim series The Venture Bros. is in the midst of official talks at HBO Max, confirms an executive at the service.
When these talks could actually reach a conclusion remains to be seen, but fans should brace for it to take some time. It sounds like HBO Max is just as eager to make a Venture Bros. revival happen, so perhaps the negotiations are just down to the final conditions. On the other hand, it could still be a long time before they’re finished. The Venture Bros. clearly has lot more stories to tell, and it would be exciting if HBO Max could pick it up. Right now, fans just have to stay hopeful and continue with their kind messages. It sounds like they’re working.
Right now, though, it seems more likely that HBO Max would be interested in reviving the beloved series. HBO Max executive Andy Forssell took to social media to reveal he’s received countless messages from Venture Bros. fans (who he calls “passionate, but incredibly civil.”) likely asking for more of the show. Forssell then confirmed that while nothing is happening just yet, actual talks appear to be ongoing. “Nothing imminent, but know that we’re working on it,” he wrote, much to the delight of hopeful fans.
The Venture Bros fans are passionate, but incredibly civil. I've received tons of emails, all of which are short very well written notes, oozing with politeness. Class fans. Nothing imminent, but know that we're working on it.#SaveTheVentureBros
