Hamill’s excitement about the fact that Luke Skywalker’s appearance didn’t leak online is admirable, especially considering how different rumors and reports are emerging online on a daily basis. In a way, it’s quite impressive that Luke’s addition in The Mandalorian was not mentioned by any news outlet, and many fans will agree that that was for the best.
In a tweet, Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, acknowledged that it’s a “real triumph” that his involvement in The Mandalorian didn’t leak “for over a year,” admitting that the achievement is “nothing less than a miracle.”

If Luke’s inclusion in The Mandalorian was reported beforehand, the excitement from fans wouldn’t have been nearly as high. Echoing Hamill’s statement, it was indeed a “miracle” that his involvement didn’t get out from the confines of Lucasfilm and Disney, and the genuine and mind-blowing reaction from fans and critics essentially provides proof that it’s for the better
