The DCEU’s Rotten Tomatoes ratings are widely varied through the nine movies released so far, although Wonder Woman 1984 is undoubtedly heading down the wrong path at the moment. It’s predecessor, 2017’s Wonder Woman, currently holds the highest rating of the bunch at 93% while the lowest is 2016’s Suicide Squad at 26%.
In the latest release from Rotten Tomatoes, Wonder Woman 1984 has fallen below a 60% rating.
The film sits at a 59% critic approval rating, with 154 “Rotten” reviews from the total review count of 378.
This means the DCEU sequel is in the “rotten” territory, according to Rotten Tomatoes’ rating system.
Even though Wonder Woman 1984 falls right in the middle of the DCEU ratings, the fact that the score has gone down by over 30% in the past month shows that critics are increasingly pessimistic about Jenkins’ sequel. The movie isn’t necessarily seen as a failure when pitting it against the rest of the DCEU’s movies, but it hasn’t seemed to live up to its predecessor according to most reviews.
