The last that MCU fans saw of Zendaya’s Michelle Jones was at the very end of Spider-Man: Far From Home as she recovered from a wild web-swinging tour of New York City with Spider-Man, right before Peter Parker’s identity was revealed to the world by an iconic role reprisal of JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson.
In a recent interview involving Spider-Man actress Zendaya courtesy of Variety, the young star revealed that she and her cast mates still have “a lot left to do” on Marvel and Sony’s untitled Spider-Man 3. She also compared filming the CGI-heavy actions scenes to “running from aliens and things you can’t see.”
“It’s our third. These things go by so fast. We still have a lot left to do. It’s like running from aliens and things you can’t see. Part of that is kind of fun. A lot of what we do is escapism, just being able to play a teenager again.”
As for Zendaya’s “aliens” comment, this is likely the actress referring to having to act with green screens involved for much of the shoot. Even though this franchise is set in the Big Apple, MCU movies always have plenty of green screen VFX work to complete with so much action that can’t be put to screen in real life.
