As it is, this is good news for fans that are keeping up with the Arrowverse. The early-season renewal for the remaining shows of The CW’s DC universe is a good sign, considering that a good chunk of them haven’t even premiered yet this year.
Variety shared in a report that The CW has decided to add “two additional episodes” for the debut season of Superman & Lois, bringing the episode count of the show to 15 instead of the originally planned thirteen-episode slate.
Meanwhile, other Arrowverse shows also received early-season renewals. Batwoman has been renewed for a third season while The Flash will return for Season 8. In addition, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow was also renewed for a seventh season
The inclusion of two more episodes for Superman & Lois is proof of the network’s trust in the show. In a way, this could also mean that the upcoming CW series will be pushed to the forefront even further, considering the popularity of the power couple in the live-action setting. The movie-like quality of the show’s first trailer is a clear indication that the Tyler Hoechlin-led series will be a clear standout when it’s all is said and done.
