Not too much, not too little, but just the right amount.
James Gunn has major praise for the God of Thunder’s latest adventure.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, the Guardians of the Galaxy director revealed he has not had much input on Thor: Love and Thunder, but he did chat with director Taika Waititi before the script was developed to assess where the Guardians are and where they will be going.
Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and others are set to reprise their Guardians of the Galaxy roles in Thor’s fourth flick.
Not much, & @TaikaWaititi is doing a great job – the script is amazing. We talked before he started writing it about where the characters are & where they're going & he read the script for Vol 3 & then I read his script & shared my thoughts.

The argument can be made that the Guardians are Gunn’s characters, and in order to maintain that consistency, he should be consulted when it comes to writing them in projects that he’s not directing. Regardless, Thor: Love and Thunder is Taika Waititi’s movie. He has the creative freedom to take those heroes where he likes.
