The hype has been building for this release for most of the last year, with the most prominent facet being that Zack Snyder will finally reveal his full vision for Justice League. However, it also seems likely that this project will be a one-off as Snyder leaves his work with the DCEU behind.
In a new release from IGN, Justice League director Zack Snyder teased more information on what to expect in Zack Snyder’s Justice League when it releases on HBO Max on March 18, 2021. Snyder confirmed that the cut “ends in a massive cliffhanger” as he “plant(s) the seeds as (he) had wanted to of what would come in the later films.”:
“It hints, as you would, at a potential other world. I’d plant the seeds as I had wanted to of what would come in the later films,” Snyder said. “That’s in there, but as far as those stories that would be to come — if ever that happened, which it does not look like it would — but I think it’s easy to speculate based on that and we can talk about that for quite a while.”
“It is a cliffhanger … The movie ends in a massive cliffhanger, yeah.”
That being said, there could be a couple of different reasons why Snyder is ending this movie with a cliffhanger.
