Daredevil Star Charlie Cox Has Reportedly Already Filmed Scenes For ‘Spider-Man 3’

While fans can take this rumor with a grain of salt, it’s still exciting to learn that Cox already joined the massive cast of Spider-Man 3 during production. It is currently unknown how Cox will factor into the narrative, but it’s safe to say that his role will be minor, meaning that the actor would’ve only filmed a few scenes.

In the first episode of the Phase Zero podcast, Brandon Davis of shared that Charlie Cox “was on set” for Spider-Man 3, seemingly hinting that the Daredevil actor already filmed his scenes for the threequel. Davis also pointed out that “nobody knows” if Cox will portray a fresh Daredevil for the MCU.

“I have a source who has told me – a very reliable source, the same source that told me that Owen Wilson is in Loki, and that turned out to be true, and a couple others before that says — Charlie Cox was on set for Spider-Man 3. I don’t know if he’s Daredevil yet or a fresh Daredevil, nobody knows if he’s a fresh Daredevil, if he’s a fresh Matt Murdock.”

By connecting the dots, it’s likely that Cox’s time on the set of Spider-Man 3 is finished, but this doesn’t mean that the actor’s arrival in the MCU will be short-lived. As Davis points out, the version of Daredevil that Cox will portray has yet to be deciphered, which means that the possibilities for the character are currently endless.

The Suicide Squad’s HBO Max Spinoff, Peacemaker, Officially Begins Filming

After nine theatrical releases within the DCEU since 2013, the franchise is looking forward to expanding into the world of streaming to help the story gain more depth. This first series should do just that, especially considering how much hype has already built up for The Suicide Squad.

Via a new post on his Instagram account, James Gunn shared that Peacemaker on HBO Max has officially started shooting. Gunn included the following caption

“5 months ago, while quarantining, I was almost done editing The Suicide Squad & had just turned in a draft of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 & was awaiting notes. Normally I would try & take a break during this time & go on vacation. But with Covid that wasn’t happening. So, having nothing else to do, I started writing a TV series, mostly for fun, as I didn’t believe it was ever going to happen. I wrote a whole first season in 8 weeks. And now, here I am in my trailer, on the first day of shooting. Life is surreal. Let’s go (& go safely!)”

John Cena will star in this mature series after introducing Christopher Smith in this summer’s blockbuster movie, and he is surrounded by an all-star cast of supporting roles. Steve Agee and Jennifer Holland will reprise their roles alongside Cena, and the acting ranks will be filled further with Robert Patrick, Chris Conrad, and Danielle Brooks among others.

Moon Knight Show Adds Ethan Hawke as Main Villain

There’s quite a lot of process of elimination that can be done when narrowing down which Moon Knight villain Ethan Hawke will be playing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ethan Hawke has been cast as a lead villain opposite Oscar Issac’s Marc Spector in the Marvel Studios Moon Knight Disney+ series. No details have been shared regarding the specific character Hawke will portray.

He almost definitely won’t be Bushmann considering that that villain is of African descent in the comics.
Hawke looks nothing like Oscar Issac, so he’s unlikely to be Randall Spector (Marc Spector’s mercenary brother in the comics).

Eternals Producers Finding Creative Ways To Show Movie To Test Audiences

Marvel Studios is known for having test screenings during the post-production of their movies, seeing it as an important step toward creating an entertaining film. With the current world health crisis, there is no word on how Marvel will perform these test screenings most effectively, although they seem to be looking to video call services as the answer.

In a recent interview with Total Film, via ETERNALS

news, Eternals director Chloé Zhao expanded on her experience of trying to continue and finish the post-production process for the Marvel Studios theatrical release.
Zhao offered comments on the difficulty of testing her MCU film with audiences during a time when theaters are currently shut in major cities like Los Angeles.

“You want us to be able to screen it for an audience. And that’s been tough. But we’re figuring out creative ways of doing it.”

This should provide at least a similar experience to what the studio would normally do in order to gather enough feedback for what is and isn’t working in their movies.

Ray Fisher Willing To Retire From Cyborg Role Due To DC Films President

After over six months of reports detailing the controversial aftermath from Justice League’s reshoots, things now seem to have officially come to a head. Fisher has spoken for months about his feelings on both director Joss Whedon and producer Walter Hamada, and the fact that he’s willing to walk away from the franchise for good shows how seriously he feels he, and others, were mistreated.

In a new release on Twitter, Cyborg actor Ray Fisher put out a statement that he will not be invovled in the upcoming 2022 movie The Flash, contrary to other reports saying otherwise. Furthermore, Fisher said he is willing to walk away from the role of Cyborg altogether to raise awareness towards Hamada’s actions.

On top of not being in The Flash when the movie arrives in 2022, it seems clear that his last appearance as Cyborg could come as early as March when Cyborg’s role is expanded upon in the Snyder Cut of Justice League.
