Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max in January? Warner Bros. Considering Early Streaming For Gal Gadot Film

As 2020 continues to be a complete disappointment for movie fans all over the world, this comes as yet another difficult decision for a major studio with so much on the line alongside this movie. With the world still working to make it safe for large gatherings to make their way back into every day life, that aspect of life is proving to be a necessity for big budget action films like Wonder Woman 1984.

A new report from Variety has revealed that Warner Bros. executives are debating on what to do with the release of Wonder Woman 1984 from the DC Extended Universe. Sources close to this story say the most viable options right now are keeping the theatrical debut on December 25, 2020 and having it premiere on HBO Max in early January, or shifting the release even further to the summer of 2021.

Gal Gadot’s DCEU sequel has previously held release dates on June 2, August 14 and October 2 before its currently set debut on December 25, but a continued spike in COVID-19 cases has made it tough for Warner Bros to feel comfortable releasing the movie to the world, especially in major metropolitan areas. With the threat of another widespread shutdown in the mix, the studio has been forced to weigh out its options, even though that puts yet another anticipated superhero movie further out of fans’ grasps

The Mandalorian Season 2: New Promotional Image Features Star Wars Rebels Cruiser

The last time fans saw Gideon was on Nevarro, after being defeated by Mando. There’s a strong chance that future episodes of Season 2 could provide a flashback on how Gideon was transported off the planet, and this command cruiser could eventually be featured in that sequence.

Reddit user Feywatch uncovered a new release from Topps which featured a brand new The Mandalorian Season 2 trading card. The new design showcased an “an Arquitens-class command cruiser” which is a ship that was originally created for the Star Wars: Rebels animated series. was also revealed that the trading card is from a new set from Topps called The Mandalorian Static Series 2.

The presence of an Arquitens-class command cruiser in The Mandalorian Season 2 isn’t a surprising addition in the show’s lore, especially after revealing that there are still remants of the Empire that are lurking in the shadows. In a way, this could potentially hint that this specific ship could very well be Moff Gideon’s base of operations.

In conjunction with that, previous reports also suggest that Bo-Katan, the previous wielder of the Darksaber, will be joining The Mandalorian Season 2. By connecting the dots, it’s possible that Bo-Katan is currently being held captive in the command cruiser, which could explain how Gideon was able to obtain the Darksaber.

Kaley Cuoco Thinks Big Bang Theory Added Sex Scenes To Mess With Her

One thing is clear though: Cuoco and Galecki remained good friends following the end of their relationship, which certainly made working together easier.

Cuoco recently appeared on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, where she opened up about her theory regarding Leonard and Penny’s later sex scenes. Cuoco said:

When we broke up obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute. But I remember those weeks that Chuck had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like sleeping together every other second.
Johnny and I talk about it and I think [Chuck] did that on purpose — just to f**k with us. If I was with him, I would ask him because that came out of nowhere. All of a sudden these characters were all up on each other.

Fans were delighted when Penny and Leonard got married, and some might even hope Young Sheldon will find a way to reference where they ended up. After all, the most recent episode of the Big Bang Theory spin-off revealed something about Sheldon’s son with Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), so perhaps Leonard and Penny will get a shout out. Fans should keep their eyes peeled in the future.

David Fincher Signs 4-Year Exclusive Deal With Netflix

Netflix is no stranger to making this exclusive deals with their auteurs, signing television creators Ryan Murphy and Shonda Rhimes to similar, expensive contracts. Sadly, this doesn’t mean there will be more Mindhunter in the future. It will still be interesting to see what David Fincher creates next for the streaming service, though.

Fincher recently told French magazine Premiere that he inked the four-year deal with Netflix.Fincher did say that it was for “another” four years, likely indicating that he was already operating under an exclusive license with the streaming service prior to this revelation. See his full comment to Premiere below:

Yes, I have an exclusivity deal with [Netflix] for another four years. And depending on Mank’s reception, I’ll either go see them sheepishly asking them what I can do to redeem myself or take the attitude of the arrogant asshole who’ll require making other films in black and white. [Laughs] No, I’m here to deliver them ‘content’ — whatever it means— likely to bring them spectators, in my small sphere of influence.

Russian Doll Creator Provides Update on Her Female-Led Star Wars Disney+ Show

Leslye Headland’s inclusion as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner of this Star Wars project is a milestone achievement for women in this franchise. She will be the first woman to write for a live-action Star Wars project in about 40 years after Leigh Brackett co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, and she has spoken on how she has had her own ideas for the expansive universe ever since her youth in multiple interviews.

In a new interview with Fantastic Frankey, via Comic Book, Leslye Headland revealed that she has been working on her new Lucasfilm Star Wars project for a little over a year. Throughout the worldwide pandemic-induced quarantines and shutdowns, Headland has still been as excited as ever to take her place in the Star Wars universe, and she gave this quote with more insight into her experience with Lucasfilm:

Working at Lucasfilm has been like a dream come true, and kind of beyond my wildest dreams, which I tweeted when it happened. I was like ‘I don’t really know what else to say, except that I love it.’ But that’s what I’ve been working on for the last year – a year and some change. So all of 2020 has been working on that.

At this moment, there are no confirmations as to who will be the central character of Headland’s new series or when in the Star Wars timeline it will take place, although it will be focused on a female hero and will have a sort of martial-arts thriller feel. The series was reported in April 2020 and confirmed shortly after, and there is no timeline yet on when production will start or when its release will come.
